This song is just Ok, I think he's getting away from his original strong melodies, but hey. its free.

The repeated "up" sample at the beginning kinda annoyed me the first time I've heard this song, but the tune just kinda stuck on me...

I don't know how to quite explain it.  It feels catchy, but at the same time it's also not quite one of my favorites. pretty close though.

Super8 & Tab - Awakenings (Tritonal Remix) - Trance/Progressive House

It's kinda tough to find any good trance songs these days...

Check out the original version as well, it's good too, but I happen to like tritonal's better.
Probably because this is closer to true trance than progressive trance.

The original is a trance song but everyone says this version is so much better.

We have some nice rhythms thrown in there with a very trance influenced melody.  The Vocals seem to add very much to a Trance effect.

Here we have one of the mau5's newer songs, only about 2 months ago...
You can see he's moving towards more progressive house styles now, but still repetitive...

Right from the start we get some Ghosts Synth going for the whole song.  The melody line at the drop is the same throughout the whole entire song with no variations until the second verse, I kinda wish they could have done something with it.  It just kinda seems a little stagnant the whole song.

But, hey.  As long as it's melody is catchy enough, it can still be a good song.  That's what happens in progressive house, anyway.

Here we have some very nice vocal Progressive House.  Normally I hate singing but the vocals feel like a necessary and helpful part of the song and also allow the main melody of the song to sing out as well.

This song really starts off heavy on the piano.
It's just another good catchy house tune.

A lot of people say that it sounds like Levels by Avicii, but I honestly think there are songs that are closer...  it still sounds similar though....

Trance Chords at 0:30.  And some other tricks that everyone has already seen.

Eh, it's an okay song.  It just kinda fits in with all the other progressive house cliches and common instruments.  Nothing too exciting about it.

Nothing really jumps out at me on this song, it's just kinda nice and easy...
